Curiosity --> Important Work --> Flow --> Goals --> Calling

NOTES:

  •  Master one layer at a time, starting from the bottom up....because each layer creates a strong foundation for the next.
  • Recognizing things that you are WILDLY CURIOUS ABOUT or want to get REALLY REALLY GOOD AT typically leads you to work that is Important.
  • IMPORTANT WORK requires immense engagement and focus, which means you're more likely to fall into FLOW.
  • Experiencing FLOW on a regular basis then allows you to master GETTING INTO FLOW more QUICKLY and STAYING IN FLOW longer (rather than just aimlessly riding the waves of flow whenever they hit you).
  • Using SMART GOALS and/or BHAGS to FOCUS YOUR FLOW gives your superpowers + effort PURPOSE + MEANING + POWER to CHANGE THE WORLD.
  • Eventually would like to create a personal productivity Hero Playlist helping learners level-up from Curiosity all the way to SMART Goals.
  • At AANWA, in Year 3, we suspected that we've actually been getting this backward the whole time and made a deliberate shift in focus to Discovering Important Work and Finding Flow and further away from academically framed goals.
